As a parent, we would like the best values that we could ever inculcate to our child’s heart and mind, Building a great character for them to make it into this world of undeniable struggle on achieving our earthly needs, goals and maintaining our spiritual being, and guiding them on how to make the right life’s choice by exposing them to the harsh reality of poverty and the things that comes along with it like hunger and life threatening illness, knowing you can’t do anything about it due to financial incapacity.
On 17th of November 2008 is Jailex Joachim “JIJ” L. Salig 1st Birthday. It is my idea that instead of celebrating it with other kids who’s parents are well-of and with grown ups like my friends, classmates, who for sure have the luxury of eating where ever their taste buds wants them to and buying the things that some people would envy. We are hoping and planning to celebrate it with the kids whom Jij have never met but unfortunately suffering from illness at Negros Oriental Provincial Hospital (pediatric Ward). For We, his parents, are both in the medical field and have a great sense of humanitarian service as what we have seen and learned from our parents and from our Families.
We believe that through this, we will teach our son the values of sharing and giving Love w/o expecting something in return. We can’t help them with their hospital bills but we are hoping to give them the love, hope and belief that life is not that bad after all in spite of its storms.
We are appealing to your better nature…
