poetry (for my sons)

River Trek

Before I step into the river,
To find the falls that drops forever.
Someone's face flash into my mind,
I know he's someone I left behind.

The water current was very strong,
God i hope that nothing will go wrong.

I still want to see my handsome son,
As he grows and lives to see the sun.

As I trek into your river bed,
There's a lot of things that I have said.
It's nothing compared to what I felt,
First time I saw my son in a quilt.

Thank God for my adrenalin gland,
I have reached the place where I have planned.
pains, anxiety and uncertainty,
perished by your miraculous beauty.
